The above link are the basic instructions of a bulletin board. I chose a bulletin board as the engine for this site as it allows the maximum number of people to see instant results from the intellectual contribution of other family members -- without waiting for me to have time to add it to a web site.

It isn't a concept unfamiliar to most -- and easy enough to quickly pick up for those who have never used a board.

Additionally, besides having the family ancestry information (viewable only to those logged in) -- there is a collection of public and private boards for the family to use -- and a lot of features like private and public calendars, photo uploads, file downloads, a portal to promote your other half of the family or document your life and times if you're over 65, chat-room for various groups to schedule for a little visit, and a whole lot more -- and many times that still coming.

Take a few minutes browse around and play with things. If you are open-minded -- you will think of hundreds of ways for this site to have family better communicate with each other.

Be one of the leaders that takes charge of using this site while the followers and apathetic decide when they can jump in -- and this can be a killer place for all of us to best communicate with each other.
