I'm with you on that, I'm having a hard time with the dark default theme too.

I wanted to have that black/white feel to go with the black/white photos -- but I feel your pain and will have a black text on white background theme that those with problems with the dark site can change to. Stay tuned for an update and instructions. It will be soon.
